suprising..........people still use Live journal,,,,,,,,,,,, i will not be in the future,
everyone should have a MySpace account. i do.
you will not be seeing me on msn for a couple of months, for the reason, i am not allowing myself on until i finish my debute cd, which has already gotten a good start. Tracks which are almost done include "Life Support", "The Freeze", "Disco Whore", and "Lazer Tagged" all of which are drum n' bass tracks. As well there is going to be a couple of techno-house tracks and a few breaks (ie. Exterior Design, which Miss Michie and Jelo are interested in already). As well i plan on doing a remix of "Thru Your Eyes" by Calyx as soon as i get a copy of Blade Runner to peel the sample out of.
my set went well on JAT radio last week, I was supposed to be doing the march show at the trash, but they changed there minds and decided they didn't want any good dj's, just the same shity people from toronto who couldn't beat match to save their lives. like i give a crap, they couldn't handle something dark n' heavy if it bit em in the ass.
this is getting long, so i guess the next time you hear from me, it will be when the cd is done, the cost will be between 40 and 50 cents, just enough to cover the coast of a cd, because music should be free.

I don't know why i still do live journal, i guess Myspace is just funner for me.
Blah blah, i invented a new genre of music. its drum n' bass, but instead of drums, its glitchy computer robot samples, and only really distorted sine subs, its making me deaf.......brilliant since it is designed for deaf people, the bass is so loud it moves me across the floor.
ummmmmmm. Black Sun Empire and SPL in february, not that anyone has the slightest clue who they are. i think i got a gig or too coming up at the end of january with my somewhat band "Hobowee" concept of the band: random making up of music, no rests, just a full hour and a half of music, we have no songs, we just make it up and we never do the same thing twice.
lots of things for christmas, clothes what not,,,,, weak ass new years, didn't do anything.

SWEET WEEKEND...........
Wend to Toronto on Friday, oddly enough, Tony was on the same bus, but we didn't see each other till we arrived in TO, walked around got a burger went to the vinyl shop, got some goodies.......ie...... Evol Intent- Police State ep., Spor- Tactics ep., Noisia- Brainstitch, Noisia/c4c- Dead Air, Teebee- Promo's, Karl k, jae kenedy...blah blah- Miami Vice (sweet ass tune). Went to Mikes house, met his friend Christian (awsome producer and he's only 19) smoked some joints. Went down to Madbar, Evol Intent tore up the place, best set since tech itch last year. After the show we invited Nick Weiller (main guy in evol intent) out for a joint. smoked/ chilled with him, tres awsomo, went to mikes, passed out. did some christmas shopping, and here we are.

1. Show On Nov 25 Was A Riot, Thanks To All Who Showed Up, Much Appreciated. I was told there was 200+ in attendence.
2. Every One Is Soaking Up My Mixed CD's, Damn Vultures, But it makes me Happy.
3. Found A Very Rare Print Of My Favourite Artist. H.R. Giger http://www.giger.com its in the posters under Green Biomechanoid.
4. Installed Reason 3.0, its fuckin sweet, have been producing alot. Had Tony Over for 5 hours on Wednesday. solid production time.
5. Planning on Getting a Gb of ram so i can inturn buy my midi keyboard to plug into my computer and actually play synths, bass, drums. etc.
6. Evol Intent on Friday at Madbar, should have VIP and it will most definately be awsome since they just came out with a bawsome new ep.
7. Going home for christmas, yay.
8. My parents brought my drum set down, and it is being fixed up,,,,,,,,,,2 drum sets, i need more.
9. New Years In Sault Ste. Marie Doesn't sound to entertaining, scott and dave, whats the dealio yo. had offers of partying in North Bay, all the shows in Toronto are uber gay. so i don't know............but i am going to get fuckin hammered, and if your not with me, your aggin me.

1. Calyx Rocked, well mixed set, No MC's thank god. a few unknown tracks, mostly his stuff and noisia.
2. Saw Tony and Tiffany at the show, noice to see the peterborough crew making an appearence.
3. Mike and I rocked out in TO. smoke massive amounts of trees, got to play with Ableton Live, he's got a medi keyboard with usb input, fuck fun running it through ablton,,,,, so sweet, i'm going to get one..... next investment for doing live PA shite.
4. Got a copy of Life Aquatic. love that movie.
E. Got some goodies in TO. Mainly Noisia- The Tide.... which makes my ears orgasim, and the 5 on 1 ep by Gridlock and others, few other vinyl who will be unmentioned.
6. Ate an entire pizza last night, man i was hungry.
7) My plant has seen better days. ie. when it was free to rome the jungle from wince it came.... unlike the prison i've built for it: that is my room.
8. got a microphone, going to get 3 more. hook em all up to my mixer, mic the drum set, and fuckin make a drum solo album with ambient and other sound fx/ samples over it.
9. i'm lazy so the drum project will most likely be done when i have 3 or more days free in a row.
J) by the sounds of it, the show on the 25th @ the trash is going to be huge. i can only hope.
11. does it fall with in LJ standereds and practices to have a list go to 11?

1) ok, i've been jerked around about this show alot, and have been told many things, the most recent i've been told, is that it will be at the Trash, on Friday November 25.... possibly all ages, but i'm not sure.
2) was in toronto a week or so ago, got some vinyl, nothing really great, the shops there are stupid and know nothing of music.
C) Calyx..Friday...Madbar.... meetin up with Mike, (aka. Rustle...aka.. Sushi D.) prob hit the studio for a couple hours friday after noon, then to see Larry Cons......... No Turning Back Tour.
4) Watched "Little Otik" yesterday with some friends, crazy movie, sure you can raise a piece of wood as your child....until it starts eating everyone. hahahhaa.
5) Everyone go rent "It's All Gone Pete Tong" or come get it at my place, fuckin' 'ell. Coke Badger,,, need I say more.
6) Rediscovered my favourite CD from last year.... yes scott it was Sasha- Involver.
G) Clean Room Makes For A Happy Ian.
*) New Reason 3.0 is awsome, the "Mastering" addition makes everything sound clean and deep. love it, working on a track thats almost done, sounds alot like a Teebee track,,, witch I was aiming for.

1) picked up a ton o' vinyl this week, need to start building my room up tall.
B) starting to grow a beard again. slow going as always.

Ummmmm. got a show at the Trasheteria on October 24, i thinks its a monday or something. opening for Locked, Scarbred on the Mic, and i do beleive the headliner is Rum n' Bass Addict.
Should be good, i'll try hittin toronto before then for some more vinyl. ie. the new tech itch remix ep, bad taste ep, some noisia and other dark shite.
head of trent was ok, not like it was the years past, Jakie, Lindsay and I got drunk in the sun and rocked out to a pizza each during a mid day screening of mars attacks. by which everyone had bit the biscuit.
no good shows for a while in toronto, so i think i'll wait for calyx at the end of november.
bought a huge mat with a moose on it, to hold down all the fuckin network cables. that moose has the house on lock down. |

i've decided to return to my roots. fuck spinning all this happy stuff that everyone is playing, i'm returning to my dark, techy, sci-fi drum n' bass style, ie. tech itch, calyx, noisia. it has more depth to it and more clever turns. its harder for people to understand then your regular drum n' bass,,,, but, they will learn. got a huge stack of vinyl in toronto, some real gems. ie. hold your colour LP, no turning back LP, Neo (dom and roland remix) hahahah, scotty (the all matrix sample set in the making, that brings me up to like 7) um this kemal and BSE track, backed with a noisia and mayhem track, and ah yes Tech Itch- inner journy (batman begins samples) and backed with Hex, absolutey crushing, makes me want to sacrifice a goat to my daddy satan. anyways, a bit disappointed, was actually looking for 2 noisia EP's. Block Controle, and Monster. both with some grusome drops, but i only had time to go to play de record, which has the most vinyl (of course with abscence of the tracks i want), the people there know nothing about music or equipment. ie. do you have Calyx- true identity release on Metalheadz Platinum? Dn'B Guy: "ummmmm. maybe its on his new album" no its not, its not even on the same record label,::he pulls it off the wall to double check:: "no, its not on here" (I know that you dumb fuck)

its been a really really long time since i have entered and entry in my live journal, I guess there is nothing really that interesting to put in livejournal, i would rather post occasionally with something meaningful, rather then posting twice daily about how i stubbed my toe or how i saw a graham cracker shaped like Lincons head. was uber drunk with kyle, rob and lindsay on wednesday, dropped plenty of steins. tossed my lunch, and had a hella good time.
